Playing Catch Up

I'm behind a bit, and to make this as easy as possible i'm just going to do a huge CATCH UP post.
I'll start off with the many adventures of Mckynlee and Hailey.
They are my little side kicks.
It's so fun having girls....well for the most part... haha. Lets be honest here, I could totally do without the dramatic fits, emotional breakdowns, the catty fights etc.. etc.. But they're cuteness makes up for it thank goodness. Plus when they are being cute and fun and lovey I HAVE to capture it, right? :)

Eating lunch at Chick-Fil-A. We love this place! They like the food, I like the food aaaaand it's got a play place. Win win in my book.

Early morning paint session.
Their bed head KILLS me!
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT! ( Especailly Kynns)

Just a typical moment that happens quite often around here. Hailey being McKnlees little doll.
Today it was a make over.
I think more lipstick ended up on her face than her actual lips.

We've been loving the Library every Tuesday.
Today the girls checked out little backpacks with books and a toy inside.
I love how much of a little Mommy McKynlee, she's always helping me,
and making sure Hailey is okay.

We were able to spend the afternoon with some of our friends Jaycie, Cason, Kinsley and Menolli.
I Grew up with Menolli and have known her since I was two, so it's fun seeing our kids as friends.

We have continued to spend a lot time outside.
Of course whenever we walk around the hood, the kids have to stop and ride the lions, each and every time. Haileys silly face cracks me up. She's been making them like crazy lately.

Ashton made these crazy cool Five Nights at Freddys shirts for him and Druw.
This is a game that all these kids are obsessing over, its about a toys that come alive.
It really is pretty freaky, but I think a little scare is good for them. but I'm kinda warped like that...
I get it from my Mama. ;)
When Ash brought the shirt over before school, Druw immediately took off the one he was already wearing and put on this one on.
Don't they look FREAKISHLY cute...I mean cool?!

I love that my kids love Family Home Evening. I think they are going to love it even more now that we have an official FHE board.
I love how it turned out!

Hailey had an appointment with her neurologist this past week, and it could not have gone any better. Prayers are being heard and they are being answered. To read more you can check out her blog at:
www.ihearthaileyrae.blogspot.com

Hailey also filled her potty chart all the way up.
After a few set backs from her seizure and a few accidents,  I was jumping up for joy when she put that last sticker on. I think I was more excited than she was.
She absolutely loved her Elsa dress, and boy did she earn it.
(She has had a few more accidents since this, but we're just working with her and hoping she gets fully back into the groove of things.)

Our Young Women had a Stake activity where we were able to get our own private tour of the BYU stadium. It was awesome. We also were able to listen to a Church historian teach us all about temples. She was so great, and I learned a lot.
This activity was to get these girls excited about the awesome once in a lifetime experience they will be having by participating in the Temple Celebration for the new Payson temple.
As we all sat in the stadium chairs and looked out at the field they will be performing on infront of the Prophet and other apostles got everyone so excited.
We also sang "I love to see the temple" which brought such a sweet spirit there, especially since you could see the Provo temple in the back round.
I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

What topped of the week was going to the Temple with this hunk and some of our awesome family members. We are so blessed to have such great family so close to us. I LOVE them all SO much!!

Valentines Day

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
I love that there is a day focused all around LOVE.
The kids woke up this morning to a fancy breakfast setting with a little card and a stuffed bear.
Daddy surprised us with Krispy Kream doughnuts. Yum Yum!
They were pretty happy about it!

The rest of the day we  did some cleaning then just hung out...
We went to the park....
Later, Emmy and Kynlee set up a little food stand on the corner with handmade signs selling popcorn, pop tarts and suckers. They earned a few dollars, and felt so cool. (Wish I would have snapped a pic)

Nate and Druw played some basketball.... Hailey wanted to join in.

For dinner Nate and Druw cooked for the girls. They did it all. They are SO SWEET!
It was a delicious steak and potato dinner.
My mouth is still watering just thinking about how yummy it was.
I've got myself a keeper that's for sure! I'm so lucky he's my Valentines.

We then finished off the night watching a movie "Malificent" and eating some treats.

Sadly today Hailey had two seizures, so minus that, today was great just spending time with the people I LOVE the most.

Ultimate SPIRIT...

More pictures from "SPIRIT WEEK"
Thursday was switch-a-roo with your teacher day.
Meet Mr. Carr

Friday was ULTIMATE SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY.
You know, so why not get all crazy with the face paint?
It's probably a good thing we didn't have colored hair spray or else he totally would have been all decked out. I forgot to snap a picture before he left to school, so Kynn and I still in our pj's headed to the school. I'm so glad we did because I was able to secretly buy 3 sucker Valentine notes to be delivered to Druw in class. ( The day before Druw told me about these, and was pretty sad and heartbroken that everyone in his class got some but him. I had no idea what he was talking about, but it was pretty sad seeing how sad he was about it.) So it was FATE that we went to the school.

McKynlee is 100 % OBSESSED with doing hair. She's really good at it too.
In fact she can almost do braids and buns better than I can.
She really waned to do hers and Haileys hair today, and this is the final product. Not bad! Hailey has two little piggies in the back. If you look closely you can see how stiff her bangs are... there is probably half a bottle of hair spray in them. :)

After the hair adventure, we decided to take  a walk around the block. Of course they wanted to stop at the lions and go for a ride. Yes, this is still February in Utah...The weather has been so FABULOUS!!

McKynlee also had her preschool Valentines Day party today.
Isn't she just the cutest?? I sure love her!

Grandmas are the best...

This is what I woke up to in my bed this morning.
Of course i'd rather NOT have them in my bed, but this picture was to precious not to capture.

Today when I went to Gym, my mom took the girls swimming
She is the best mom and coolest Grandma ever!
The girls had soooooooooo much fun and I had sooooooooooo much fun watching them as I ran!
Yep this was my view as I ran upstairs on the treadmill....
It doesn't get much better than that!!

My Mom said that we should make this a weekly thing  every Wednesday,
While I work out, she takes them swimming.  So cool! How could I turn down an offer like that!
Thanks Mom!!!
They sure love their Grandma!!

Library Time...

Today was blue or red day for Spirit Week.....
of course Druw choose BLUE!!

BYU all the baby!

I also decided to take the girls to Library time today. It was our first time and the girls loved every bit of it! Right when we got down to the kids reading area Hailey said. "This is such a good day!"  Looks like I might be making this a weekly thing!

They did a puppet show...   I set McKynlee up for her very own library card! She felt so grown up!

It really was probably one of the cutest things watching these two sit by each other during story time. McKynlee was so sweet and attentive to Hailey making sure she was okay and having fun. What was even cuter was when they did the songs, they both would sing, and do the actions. Me being me, I even got all choked up in as I sat in the back and watched them.

To make this day even better Jenn randomly brought by dinner. She is the greatest!
They were some of the best enchiladas i've ever had! Yum!!

Druw had a basketball game tonight. They lost but played GREAT!
They also had Team pictures!
What a good lookin group of boys!

Sunny Sunday

The weather the last few days has been AMAZING!! You would never guess that is was February in Utah. It feels like spring. I think mother nature is all sorts of confused. Warm weather like this is making everything go out of wack...  peoples tulips are starting to sprout up bugs are coming out birds are chirping... shoot I wouldn't be surprised if sprinklers start turning  on and people bust out their swimsuits, Okay maybe its not THAT warm, but man it feels good!  Because the weather today was extra nice we decided to walk to church. As you can see in the picture we weren't the only ones from the ward who took advantage of this nice sunny warm day.
What a BEAUTIFUL day! What a BEAUTIFUL view! What a BEAUTIFUL family i've got!
Today was a good day!

*I forgot to post this last week but McKynlee gave a talk in Primary. She was so brave and got right up there and did such a GREAT job! Her talk was all about Jesus and how he is our Savior and our Redeemer. She showed different pictures of Jesus in his life and talked about how much he loves us. I love primary. I love the pure sweet spirit felt from the kids I love that my kids are learning the gospel and gaining their own little testimonies.

Today we also had family dinner with the Carrs. We hadn't had it for a few weeks which felt really weird. I love that we get together every Sunday for family dinner. Did I ever mention that I married into the best family ever?? Well if not, I just did. I love the CARR CLAN!
Today was even extra fun and extra special because Grandma, Aunt Kim and Meg joined us.
Hailey snuggled up to Meg for a good 15 solid minutes while Meg just sang to her and rubbed her back. It really was such a sweet tender moment, one I HAD to capture for sure!

A family that runs together...

I have been trying really hard the last few weeks to stick to a workout routine. I've done really well with it so far. I go to the Gym 4 days out of the week. I love the feeling that exercising gives me. It's like a stress release, which I totally need.  Since today is Saturday and Druw had a basketball game at 10:00, and the weather has been fabulous, I decided i'd just go for a morning run outside. Well of course the second I told Nate I was going for a run all three on the kiddos wanted to come along with.  So why not?? I bundled the two girls in the stroller and Druw got his running shoes, grabbed his basketball to practice dribbling as we ran, and off we went. We only circled around the neighborhood 2 times and I really didn't even break a sweat but it was nice just having them join me.
Plus rumor has it that "a family that runs together stays together." ;)

(Oh and Druw did such a great job at his basketball game... made a shot and had a few blocks)

Last Night we went and watched Cameron perform as a Knife in his schools play, Beauty and the Beast. It was such a great play and the costumes were unbelievable!! Cameron did a great job. I wanted to get a picture of him in his costume but he changed to quickly. He looked awesome!
The kids had fun and enjoyed the show. We even got a picture with Belle and the Beast after which was pretty cool .

Last few days,,,

Druw had a basketball game yesterday, and it was so fun and intense to watch. The first half their team was getting creamed... like 22 to 4 type of a thing. Well second half was a whole new game. The coaches pep talk at half time must have really kicked in because the played awesome!!! The final score was 26 to 26. I know ties totally suck but for them to come back the way they did was so fun to watch. I love sports and I love watching my kids play sports. I know I might be the overly "cheerer" mom on the side lines but I can't help myself. :) It has also been fun with the different sports over the years to have Druw be on the same team as his best buddy Ash. I love it!

McKynlee had a hard crash on her scooter. I saw the whole thing happen. It was so sad. I wish I could prevent my kids from ever getting hurt. She got a nasty bump on her forehead even with a helmet on. She is such an active adventurous little dare devil who has gotten more battle wounds than any of our kids. ( Broken leg, spit eyebrow, cut open lip bumps cuts and bruises.. the list goes on and on.) She is one tough chick though that's for sure. She ALWAYS just dusts herself off and get back up again. She is fearless.. sometimes a little too fearless.

The weather the last few days has been AMAZING!! You would never guess that it was February in Utah. We have loved every second of these warm sunny days, spending a lot of time outside jumping on the trampoline, playing on the playground, in the sandbox, riding scooters....its been awesome. Today we decided to go to the park and feed the ducks. ( one of our favorite things to do)  We were babysitting Paisley so it was fun to have her join us this time. The girls had fun, and collected lots of duck feathers. We could have done without all the nasty duck poop on our shoes but hey with a sight as beautiful as this we'll deal with it.

After we fed the ducks, we had to make a trip to Lindon. We were so glad Grandma Schroeppel was home so we could stop in and visit for a little bit. She is such an amazing woman who we love so much. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. She is such a wonderful example to us. The girls sure loved playing with her Uno game and the toys in the ottoman. They had no problem making tthemselves at home. They even sat at the bar eating some pretzels a candy cane and a drink.
I love this picture of Grandma with 3 of her great grand daughters.
